Exploiter un centre de dépannage temporaire et d'hébergement autonome. Fournir une aide adéquate aux personnes qui vivent une circonstance dramatique et qui ont un besoin immédiat d'hébergement et possiblement de prise en charge et d'orientation. Ces personnes peuvent vivre des situations de sinistre, conflits familiaux, fugues, évictions de logement, errance, solitude, itinérance, sortie de prison ou problème de santé mentale ou physique. Le tout ne constituant pas un établissement au sens de la loi sur la santé et services sociaux. Offrir en location des logements à des personnes à faible revenus. Offrir des ressources appropriées et diverses activités culturelles ou sportives reliées aux besoins des hébergés sans aucune fin précaire.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT SERVICES ACCROSS THE GREATER TORONTO AREA TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE FACING BARRIERS TO INTEGRATING INTO THE LABOUR MARKET. OUR SERVICES INCLUDE: EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION AND JOB PLACEMENT SUPPORT FOR NEWCOMERS, PEOPLE ON SOCIAL ASSISTANCE AND INDIVIDUALS FACING BARRIERS TO FINDING EMPLOYMENT; A SERIES OF SECTOR SPECIFIC BRIDGE TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR INTERNATIONALLY TRAINED INDIVIDUALS, MENTORING AND ENHANCED LANGUAGE TRAINING FOR NEWCOMERS

(CAPE) CENTER FOR ADULTS IN PROGRESSIVE EMPLOYMENT SOCIETY

CAPE provides persons with disabilities with a link to the community through vocational education, interaction and personal skills building. The CAPE also works to educate the general public on the skills and abilities our participants possess. Pre-Vocational programs encompass several areas of training including: mail processing: answering phones; developing computer skills; photocopying; document shredding; assembling golf, hotel and coal packages for local businesses. Vocational training offers hands-on work experience to individuals at the CAPE. Through our refinishing department, particpants and staff restore all types of wood furniture to its original quality The pre-employment program provides job-readiness skills training. CAPE participants in this department are working towards employment or volunteer placements. Our participants gain experience in real working situations within the community, with the support from the employer and with the CAPEs job coach support. We provide one-on-one support and training in the workplace with the employer. The CAPE Society, is renowned to quality, professional furniture repairs, the restoration of antiques, as well as modern, home, office and institutional furniture refinishing.
