(PVS) POLICE VICTIM SERVICES OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

Coordinated and delivered the 31st annual training symposium. This was a three day event that included a pre-conference event on business continuity and emergency planning for Police Victims Services. PVS participated in National Victims and Survivors of Crime awareness week events and memorials in BC and Ottawa. We continue to sit on numerous committees for training and collaboration of criminal justice partners.
Funding was secured to continue and enhance existing course offerings in Critical Stress Management (CISM) to include and advanced two day model. A one day leadership training program is being developed for the coming year.

*BEAR RING "U" 'N MIND* FOUNDATION

BEAR RIND U'N MIND, CURRENTLY HAS ONLY ONE PROGRAM "RESEARCH WITH RESPECT" THE AIMS OF THAT PROGRAM ARE: 1) TO INFORM THE PUBLIC OF THE NOBLE CONTRIBUTION MADE TO SOCIETY BY PHASE 1 ONCOLOGY CLINICAL PATIENTS PROVIDE 2) TO IMPROVE THE MONITORING OF PHASE I ONCOLOGY CLINICAL TRIAL SUBJECTS 3) TO PROVIDE FREE INDEPENDANT "HEAD TO TOE" PHYSICAL EXAMINATION BY QUALIFIED NURSES 4) TO PROMOTE THE GOAL OF PROVIDING COMPASSIONATE "END OF LIFE CARE" TO PHASE I ONCOLOGY CLINICAL PATIENTS

10,000 TREES PROJECT

1. To encourage a greater appreciation of local environments through education and pro-active urban forestry 2. To plant and maintain 10,000 Trees in the City of Waterloo, Ontario. These trees will be in addition to those lost through natural attrition and development 3. To utilize these plantings to increase awareness of our environment in general and urban forestry specifically 4. To increase the current and future levels of civic pride through beautification and volunteerism

100 MILE DISTRICT GENERAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY

We operate a hospital gift shop - open 5 days/wk. We have a tuck cart which is taken around to patients 5 days/wk. We have vending machines & Pop machines available 24/7. We hold bake & craft sales, raffles, garage sale, 50/50 draws,
We knit, crochet & sew items for shop. All work is volunteer & all monies generated goes towards gift shop upkeep & purchasing equipment for acute care. A $500 bursary is given to student entering a health related post secondary program. We sponsor the candy striper program. Euipment purchased in 2016 includes: $2000 - Royal Inland Hosp.l $4003 - Vital Signs Monitor; $5534 - Centrifuge. $825 - TV, stand & Sound bar.

1000 ISLANDS MONTHLY MEETING, SOCIETY OF FRIENDS,

1. Opportunity for regular meetings for worship (open to all) to seek together for God's will in our lives. Meetings are held every Sunday at 10:30 am in the Unitarian 2. We encourage, in monthly discussion groups open to all, growth, learning & social responsibility in accordance with our discernment of God's will.3. We build community with shared meals 4. We provide assistance to those in need in the Kingston Community - eg. donation to food bank, shelters..... 5. ..... and to other Quaker organizations... 6. ..... and in other parts of the world. 7. Monthly discussion groups open to all
